Staff Correspondent: Thumb fracture happened to Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza to go out of field for at least 8 weeks.
He was hurt his thumb seriously during the third T20I between Bangladesh and New Zealand that took place at the Mount Maunganui on early Sunday.
Tigers limited overs skipper got his thumb hurt in the 18th over of the first innings of the match while he was attempted to stop a strong straight drive from Kiwi batsman Corey Anderson.
After completion of the game, Mashrafe was taken to a local hospital where the doctors declared his right thumb had been fractured. It was informed that Mashrafe will be out of action for 6 to 8 weeks.
